Problem of Unfit
Sir, —Judging from your cornpo™., t "Eugenic’s” letter under the above heading it appears to me that he 'is one of those people who believe that sterilisation is the only way, of improving the physical and moral qualities of future generations. Why not get to the source of the trouble? Unfitness in my opinion is caused through lack of proper environment. Do away with those horrible slums, create employment for the people, and last but not least give them a thorough education. —I am, etc., SAFETY FIRST. Featherston, November 3.
