Acceptance of Tender COST TO BE £339,173 Almost Immediate Start An announcement that the lowest tender for the construction of the new railway station at Wellington was that of the Fletcher Construction Company, Ltd., and that be was now in a position to state that the tender of this company was being accepted, was made yesterday by the chairman of the Government Railways Board, Mr. H. 11. Sterling. ’ Mr. Sterling said the price tendered by the Fletcher Construction Company was £339,173. and the architects’ estimate was £338,000. "The work,” added Mr. Sterling, “will be commenced practically immediately and is to be completed within three years and three months of the date of the commencement of the contract." .
