JAPANESE DECISION
Withdrawal of Troops ‘FOR SERVICE ELSEWHERE’ Pekiu, November 3. The Japanese havb begun a general Withdrawal from the demilitarised zone. A few days hence not a single soldier will remain. This will release a large number for service elsewhere. The Japanese, however, continue to control the Great Wall, but are allowing Chinese artillery to proceed to Funing. where bandits are operating and have been given a last chance to surrender.
