Atlantic Interests of Cunard and White Star COMPLETION OF BIG LINER By Telegraph.—-Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received November 5, 7 p.m.) London, November 4. The “Daily Telegraph” learns authoritatively that the Cunard and White Star steamship lines have reached a basis for an agreement for the fusion of their Atlantic Interests. The companies’ primary object for the merger Is to secure financial assistance from the Government to enable the unfinished Cunarder to be completed.
