CHURCH HELD UP BY WAR.
The' church of St. Anselm, Kennington Road, in South-east London, which until June of last year bad stood derelict since 1914, was-consecrated last month by the Bishop of Southwark. Before the outbreak of the war a site was chosen on which to build it. The King gave £lOOO. toward the purchase of the site, and the Prince of Wales laid the foundation stone. Th» war broke out and building operations were held up until June last year, when the work restarted-
