South Australia in a Sheffield Shield match against Victoria iu the first innngs made 197 (Ponsford 11. Woodfull 52, O’Brien 49, Bigg 30. Bromley 28). Grimmett took seven wickets for 80. South Australia in the first innings made 77 for the loss of one wicket (Nltscbke not out 38, Richardson 32, Lonergan not out 5).
