“MAD FAKIR’S” FATE
Handed Over to Afghans FRONTIER MENACE Calcutta, November 2. Lowani Fakir, known as the. "Mad Fakir,” who was responsible, for the recent grave disturbances on the IndoAfghan border, has been handed over to the Afghan authorities, together with three companions. The fakir was arrested by a British border post after eluding the British and the Afghan authorities for two years, in which he first endeavoured to raise revolt against King Nadir Shah in favour of the ex-King Amanullah. and later instigated a rising of the turbulent border tribesmen against the British Government.
