At, Rugby, Hampshire beat Kent, 17-8. Middlesex beat Eastern Counties,
At Rugby League, the Northern League defeated the Australians 7-5, after the latter led 3-0 at half-time. The match was styled an unofficial Test, as ten players in the home team have played for England in the Tests. The worst possible conditions prevailed. In; eessant rain fell and the ground was a quagmire. England’s team for the second League Test is: Sullivan, Hudson. Hi,small. Dingsdale, Woods, Brogden, Evans, Silcock, White, Miller, Horton. Hodgson, and Feetham.
