WAR DEBTS PROBLEM
Anglo-American Discussions FINAL STAGE ENTERED (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, November 1. The Anglo-American war debt negotiations entered upon what is generally assumed by the Press to be the final stage when Sir Ronald Lindsay, the British Ambassador in Washington, Sir Frederick JLeitli Ross, cljief economic adviser to the British Government, and Mr. Bewley, financial adviser to the British Embassy, were received at the White House by PraWent Roosevelt Ulfs afternoon. ' ' ■ ' Before the conversations began it was authoritatively stated that they were being confined solely to war debts. DISCUSSIONS TO PROCEED Washington, November 1. Before the conference the President indicated that he was unaware of the particulars of the war debt status, but he said that he was ready to hear what the British had to offer. Later a White House announcement said that it was decided at the conference with tlie British war debts negotiators to continue discussions for revision.
