Two Athletic Records Broken HUNTER SENIOR CHAMPION Two records were broken at the annual athletic sports meeting of Scots College yesterday. Robertson, min., won the 120 yards junior hurdles in lOsec., which is Isec. less thnn A. Taylor’s record time in 1030, and Bremner, ma., made a new record for the discus throw (an event held before the meeting) with a throw of 107 ft. The previous record was A. Taylor’s 103 ft. lOln. in i"32. I. H. Hunter, ma., won the sennt championship, Robertson, mi., the intermediate chainpionship, and * Robertson, mi., the junior championship. , , .. The morning and early part of the afternoon were warm and pleasant for such a gathering, and. although the air later became cooler, the conditions detracted little from the spectators and competitors’ enjoyment. A subject of favourable comment by the visitors was th e condition of the grounds, the trees and shrubs having made noticeable growth in recent months. An innovation this year was a parade of competitors, who marched past headed by the college pipe band before the afternoon’s events.
