Improvement Continues (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, October 28. The steady improvement in Britain's industrial situation is continuing and evidence of increasing activity in lending trades conies from areas all over the country. It Is reported to-duy that 11 basic steel plants in Sheffield are now fully employed, and production exceeds that of hist year by nearly 1000 tons daily, while cutlery orders average 45 per cent, heavier than last year. Birmingham jewellery manufacturers are also working Cull time and skilled craftsmen are fully employed. The United Kingdom exports of wool products increased 48 per cent, in September compared with the year before. Prices and emp’oymenl also showed a marked advance. The demand for steel products Is l>\ no means confined to the Home market, and orders from abronfi have shown an encouraging increase.
