■ Mr. Edward Collie, Worser Buy, returned yesterday to Wellington after an extended trip abroad. Mr. H. M. Mac Kay, managing director of New Zealand Airways Ltd., arrived from the south yesterday and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. George Mitchell, who have been on a visit to Australia and the Orient, are expected to return to Wellington in a fortnight’s time. Mr. Morton Paterson, who , recently returned from a trip to the Old Country, was warmly welcomed home at yesterday’s Rotary Club luncheon. Mr. W. Ewart Crcwes, the Wellington baritone, has been engaged to sing at the concerts to be given by the Christchurch Philharmonic Society on November 8 and IL The Hon. W. Downie Stewart, M.P. for Dunedin West, and Mr. W. Nash, M.P. for Hutt, who were New Zealand delegates to the conference of the Institute of Pacific Relations at Banff. Canada, returned to Wellington yesterday, and immediately resumed their Parliamentary duties.
