Invitation from Auckland
An invitation from the Auckland City and Suburban Association to the Wellington Mercantile League to participate iu a 21st anniversary cricket tournament in Auckland at Christmas came before the management committee of the league last evening. It was decided to Auckland for the invitation, and to hold the matter over for consideration at the next meeting. „ „ , Messrs. A. A. Jennings, E. Casey, and N. Hassell, were appointed a selection committee for representative games. A cup was donated to the league b. Mr Max Heinemann for competition, and allocation of the cup leit to « sub-committee to make a recommenda tion. .
