British Empire Games NEW ZEALAND TEAM The report of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, to be presented at the annual meeting on November 21, says:— “The 1934 British Empire Games will be held in London, and with a view to nominating a suitable track and field team if performances during the coming season are up to standard, your council has already asked the centresi to appoint local officials to review form during the current season in order to report subsequently to the council on athletes who,- in their opinion, are up to the required standard. “The Olympic and British Empire Gaines Association has received advice that £lOOO is available toward the payment’of passage money of a New Zealand team. The Olympic and British Empire Games Association has also advised your association that in view of the present state of its funds, due to the cost of the last Olympic team, this association is expected to assist toward the expenses of any of its nominees finally selected.” .
