Meteorological Office, Wellington, Tuesday, October 17, 1933, at 4 p.m. A moderate anti-cyclone covers the Tasman Sea, but a rather deep depression is crossing southern New Zealand. Forecast- North-westerly winds prevailing in pants of eastern districts, but elsewhere west to south-west, moderate to strong generally and of gale force at times from Cook Strait southward. Seas rough south of Cape Egmont and about Cook and Foveaux Strnite; elsewhere
moderate. , Moderate to fresh south-westerly winds in the eastern Tasman Sea; seas rough in the southern portion, but elsewhere moderate. Weather changeable in districts with a westerly aspect and parts of the east coot from Banks Peninsula southward, with scattered showere; elsewhere fair to fine. Temperatures cool, with some frosts inland in the South Island.
