Ulm’s England-Australia Flight - ARRIVAL AT CALCUTTA By Telegraph.—Brees Assn.—Copyright (Received October 16, 9.45 p.m.). Calcutta, October 16 Mr. C. T. P. Ulm, who is endeavouring to break the England-Australia flight record, in the aeroplane “Spirit of Australia,” arrived here at 11.30 o'clock this morning. He left Karachi for Calcutta at 5.30 last evening. Mr. Ulm landed at Karachi ahead of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith’s time. He flew from London to Karachi in 2 days 14 minutes 14 seconds. COBHAM’S NON-STOP PLANS Sir Alan Cobham is purchasing two more air liners and converting them into refuelling tankers for a four-day non-stop flight to Australia.
