FAREWELL GIFTS

Old Giris’ Association President Several hundred members of the Wellington Girls’ College Old Girls’ Association met at the college to say farewell to Mrs. Ernest Dawson, who has retired from the presidency of the association after many years' connection with it. With Mrs. Dawson as guests of honour were Miss Mary McLean, exprincipal, and Miss V. Grieg, principal. All received bouquets from the executive committee. During the evening, which was passed in games and music, and before the serving of supper, Mrs. Dawson was presented, on behalf of all pupils, past and present, with a handbag containing a cheque, and a book sent by old girls in Napier.
