WRITERS AND ARTISTS
Women’s Activities At the recent meeting of the New Zealand Women Writers and Artists’ Society, held in the Lyecum Club rooms, a very interesting and enjoyable programme of original work was presented. It is particularly noticeable that with the encouragement given by the Drama League, young writers are turning their attention to the making of plays; and there were no fewer than four submitted on this programme, among songs and poems. The opportunity of seeing their work interpreted on the stage is an Invaluable experience, and the work of the society in this connection cannot be too highly commended. There was also an Interesting display of original art studies by members.
