In Java and the Straits Settlements the Japanese have been selling bicycles complete at 21/- each. Another remarkable item is the oiler of Japanese rubbertipped lead pencils at 1/10 a gross (144 pencils), less than a id. a dozen. The Japanese are also selling a complete white cotton suit with hat and shoes in Java, for 6/- the lot. In England. tort, the Japanese are selling socks at 2d. a pair and shirts at 1A
