“MENACE OF JAPAN”
Professor’s Book Criticised London, October 13. The “Daily Mail” says that Professor O’Conroy’s book is the darkest picture of Japan anyone has yet painted. “Professor O’Conroy would try the credulity of the reader less if he had given the other side of the picture. The book from first to last is full of virulent bias, whieh should put readers on their guard.”
Professor O'Conory’s book, “The Menace of Japan,” states that Jnpnn wants war. She covets Austarlia. Her idea jg, first Manchukuo, next China, I ndia and Australia, including New Zealand, and then Russia. It will come sooner than expected. The professor describes Japanese men as ruthless,' lustful and treacherous. Ho adds tha/. they will slowly carry on their pXns, first to subjugate the East, unless the Powers step in. Japan, he says, is working at top speed toward war, and will soon march on China. 1
