The Moscow- correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says an alarming number of accidents at Soviet power stations has necessitated an emergency meeting of the collegium of the Commissariat for Heavy Industry. Tfie official reporter said that due to bad management, slackness and lack of qualified staff, the turbines had refused to function because nobody was responsible for overhauling them. Moreover, directly the Soviet electrical apparatus supplier delivers the machinery he loses all interest in it.
