Ted Morgan, 10st 51b (Nelson), retained the New Zealand professional welterweight boxing championship on points against Gus Fitzmaurice, 10s 7lb (Gisborne). The bout went the full fifteen rounds, and there was a large crowd. It was a fast nnd open fight, with plenty of hard hitting. The winner had the advantage throughout. 1
