Festival at Wanganui
Wanganui, October 11.
The opening evening of the Wanganui branch of the British Drama League Festival was an unqualified success, and every seat was taken long before the performance commenced. The newly-reno-vated library building was used as a “Little Theatre” for the first time. Four one-act plays were presented:— “Midsummer Night’s Dream,” by the Wanganui Technical College Past and Present Pupils’ Dramatic Club; “Op-’o-me-Thumb,” by the Lady .Tellicoe Club Dramatic Circle; "For Distinguished Service,” by the Wanganui Amateur Dramatic Society; and “The Grand Chan’s Diamond,” by the Fordell W.E.A.
