SURPRISE PARTY

Farewell to Postmaster

A number of friends paid a surprise visit to the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Wallace, Lower Hutt, on Saturday evening. Mr. Wallace, who is postmaster at .Lower Hutt, has been transferred to Blenheim.

A very jolly time was spent in playing games, and several competitions proved very entertaining. > Dancing also added to the fun of the evening, and a delicious supper was provided by the visitors. ■

Those present were: Mrs. W. Nash, Mrs. J. W. Andrews, Mayoress of Lower Hutt, Mr. and Mrs. Binning, Mr. and Mrs. R. King, Mr. and Mrs. Leos, Mr. and Mrs. Salt, Mr. and Mrs. Andrews, Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan, and Mr. and Mrs. B. S. Knox.
