TASMANIA v. VICTORIA
Melbourne, October 4. A writ has been Issued out of the High Court on behalf of the State of Tasmania against the State of Victoria and John Allan, Minister of Agriculture, in respect of the ban on the importation of potatoes into Victoria from Tasmania.
The plaintiff seeks an injunction to restrain the defendants from enforcing a proclamation prohibiting "Victorian merchants from importing Tasmanian potatoes.
