BUILDING SCHEME
Response at Pahiatua. Pahiatua, September 14. During the period the Government's No, 10 building subsidy scheme was in operation a total of 26 applications were received in Pahiatua, including ten for new dwellings. The value of the applications totalled £7401/14/6. the labour cost being estimated at £9lB/18/4. £11,267 in Feilding Palmerston North, September 14. Seventy-four applications for the building subsidy were received in Feilding during the operation of the No. 10 scheme, the total value of the applications being £11,267. The applications include 16 new dwellings. Wanganui Figures Wanganui, September 14. During the time the No. 10 building subsidy was available in Wnnganui from June until last Tuesday, the applications totalled £41,407/8/4, while the estimated labour amounted to £14.248/13/3, and the estimated subsidy £5lOB/2/8. In keeping with other places in the Dominion there was a last-minute rush of applications. From Thursday until 4.30 o clock on Tuesday afternoon, when the applications closed, £22 366/9/6 was applied for, while estimated labour and subsidy amounted to £7537/1/- and £2891 respectively.
