Week-end Trip to Auckland Alore than 700 seats have been booked for the cheap excursion to Auckland which the Railway Department have organised in connection with the Auck-land-Wellington Rugby match. A hundred seats were reserved yesterday, and the department, which anticipates a further rush to-day, believe that about 1000 people from the Wellington district will make the cheap week-end trip. The train will leave Thorndon at 7.35 o’clock this evening, Palmerston North at 10.18 p.m., and arrive at Auckland at 10.12 a.m. to-morrow. The return train will leave Auckland at 4 p.m. on Sunday, and arrive at Palmerston North at 3.54 a.m. on Monday morning and Wellington at 6.45 o’clock. An advertisement appears in this Issue.
