MACHADO’S POLICE
Last of “Strong-arm” Squad (Received September 3, 7 p.m.). Havana, September 2. Jose Penate, relieved to be the last of the “Strong-®rm” squad of the deposed ex-President Machado, was killed to-day and ills body paraded through the streets in an open automobile. The authorities said that the executioners of the A.B.C. revolutionary socicty here killed Penate, who was a sergeant in tlie old secret police.
