RELIGIOUS SERVICES. J.0.0.F. HALL, ALLEN STREET. A COURSE OF FREE PUBLIC LECTURES.. Pnow being delivered (God willing) in the above hail on SUNDAY evenings at 7 o’clock under the title of — “TURNED UNTO FABLES” The object being to show from the Scriptures that the false doctrines of the Churches of Christendom literally fulfil the following prediction of the Apostle Paul: “THE TIME WILL COME WHEN THEY WILL NOT ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE . . . THEY SHALL TURN AWAY THEIR EARS FROM THE TRUTH, AND SHALL BE TURNED UNTO FABLES” (2 Tim. 4:3-4, see also 2 Pet. 2:1-2. Isa. 60:2, Isa. 25:7, Jer. 16:19, etc.). The subject for this Sunday is:— “THE DOCTRINE OF THE TRINITY—A FABLE” A MAN-MADE TRADITION* entirely opposed to the clear anckdefinite teaching of the Bible which is :— (1) THAT God—the Father—is ONE, not three—“THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD” (Jesus—Mark 12: 29. See also Deut. 6:4, Isa, 44:6-8, Isa. 45:5, Isa. 46:9-10, Jno. 17:3, 1 Cor. 8:6, Eph. 4:6, 1 Tim. 2:5, 1 Tim. 6:16, etc.). (2) THAT Jesus Christ is “THE SON OF GOD,” not God the Son?-"There-fbre, also, that Holy thing that shall be born of thee (Mary) shall be called The Son of God.” (Luke 1:85. > See also Matt. 3:17, Jno. 5:22, Roms. 1:3-4, 2 Cori 1:19, Hebs. 5 :S, 1 Jno. 4:15, Acts 2:22, Gals. 4:4, Hebs. 2:14). (3) THAT the Spirit (Ghost) is not a personal God at all, but THE POWER OR ENERGY of the Eternal Father by which He controls and knows all things and by which all life is kept in being. (See Psa. 139: 7.-12, Job 34:14-15, Psa. 51:12, Psa. 1j04:30, Acts 17:28, Neb. 9:30, 2 Pet. 1:21, Mic. 3:8. Luke 1:35, Acts 8;14-19, Acts 10:38, Luke 9:43, 1 Cor. 6:14, J0b\26:12, Jer. 10:12, etc.). Questions Invited. No Collection. Literature free on application, ip person or by letter, to the above hall, or to E. J. R. Milne, Pukahu, Hawke’s Bay. Public Lectures on above lines are also given (God willing) on Sunday nights in the United Hall, Lyndon Road, Hastings.
