The King has been graciously pleased to approve the appointment of Mr. Sydney Philip Perigal Waterlow, his Majesty’s Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Sofia, to be, his Majesty’s Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Athens.

[Mr. Sydney Philip Waterlow has been British Minister at Sofia since 1929. He entered the diplomatic service in 1900, and was at Washington from 1901 to 1905. He was employed at the Peace Conference, and subsequently held various posts at thp Foreign. Office. Later he was successively Minister at Bangkok and Addis Ababa. He had published a translation of the Medea and Hippolytus of Euripides and compiled a Cambridge autology.j
