Farewell meetings, ■to Lt.-Colonel and Mrs. Toomer, will be held in the .Citadel, Vivian Street, to-morrow. These officers have -been in charge of the Wellington corps for the past four months, during the absence of Adjutant and Mrs. Montt ornery in Canada. The. adjutant will e welcomed home on Tuesday at a special gathering of the members of the citadel corps. ............. It is Announced that on Saturday next Mr. -Mt-A. Leigh Hunt, F.R.G.S., will give his lecture on the recent explorations in the'Antarctic, when the slides taken from the negatives of Mr. Ponting will be screened.. The proceeds will be in aid of the Salvation Army funds.
