The Price of Bricks

gi r —x was interested in reading some time ago two letters in your paper concerning the price of bricks supplied locally. The matter is one which affects quite a large number of people, and I did think that the brick interests would endeavour to make some reply to the facts revealed by your correspondents. It has come to my notice lately that while in Dunedin bricks cost £3/15/- per 1000 the same number supplied locally cost £5/5/-. There is a somewhat similar divergence in the prices charged in other centres compared with those charged in Wellington. Surely there is a case for an explanation by the Wellington brick interests?-! am, Wellington, August 28.
