CHINA & OLD SAMPLERS

Exhibition of Antiques The collection of china at'* the Exhibition of Antiques now being held in aid of the Y W.C.A. funds is most attractive and representative of all the most famous makers: Those who have seen it have been eagerly awaiting the promised talk on “Chinn,” which has now been fixed for this afternoon at 3.15. A further interesting feature of to-day's sessions nt the exhibition. which is housed in Austin House, 181-95 Wakefield Street, will be n talk on “Old Samplers,” to be given this evening at 8 o’clock by Airs. J. S. Elliott. Lantern slides and the beautiful samplers on view will provide the illustrations to the lecturette. Plans are being made to stage a parade of period frocks before the exhibition closes, and this should make a charming scene against the truly oldworld background which the antiques provide. The exhibition is open to the public for two sessions daily, as advertised, and the tearoom provides refreshments during each of these. ,
