Meteorological Office, Wellington, Monday, August 28, 1933, at 4 p.m. The recent shallow depression has nt last passed away eastward, and a rather intense anti-cyclone is now advancing on to the Dominion. Forecast: South-easterly to southerly winds, moderate to fresh, but decreasing

gradually. Seas rough between Kaikoura and East Cape and in Cook Strait; elsewhere smooth to moderate in New Zealand waters. Moderate southerly winds and moderate seas in the Eastern Tasman Sea. Weather rather unsettled at first over the North Island and the north-east portion of the South Island, with scattered rain mainly on the east coast, but gradually improving; elsewhere fine. Cool temperatures.
