British-Israelism

Sir, —In view of tlie controversy, now. appearing in your columns over tlie Rev. F. S. Ramson’s attack upon the BritishIsrael Truth, may I mention that the Editor of the “Church Chronicle” is allowing me to reply in that journal, at the conclusion of the attacking articles. In addition to this, I shall make the attack the subject of a lecture in Wellington in the near future. From these, the public will be able to judge the truth or otherwise of Mr. Ramson’s allegations.— I am. etc., CHAS. W. CLIFT, President, N.Z. branch British-Israel World Federation. Wellington, August 28. Sir. —There are many Israelites blind to their identity. This is not surprising, however, when' it is remembered that love and humility are prime requisites in the mental make-up of Israel redivivus. if our prophets are true prophets: It may be said that no Christian can fail to be convinced of the truth of Israel’s destiny, if he approaches the study with an -humble and an open mind. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is nothing more than a guide-book and a vade rnecum to the children of Israel, who are to rule the world, not by force, but by love. —I am. etc.. BERNARD THOMPSON. Wellington. August 28. [This correspondence is now closed.]
