“SIN-SALA-BIN”

“Dante’s” Mysteries Twenty:years ago Wellington theatregoers were amazed and confounded at the magical tricks and illusions of the Great Jansen while on tour. In the intervening years he has explored every part of the world —Italy. Russia. China, Germany. France. Sweden, Denmark, South Africa. Canada, America, and he is now in Australia —and he returns with a new repertoire that is the last word in mystification, and with a new- name—“ Dante.” Oscar Eliason —the original Dante—had passed away tragically, and Jansen decided to take the mantle of his name on his own shoulders, for what more apt .name could be devised than that associated with the classic “inferno,” when you see the impossible tricks and illusions that “Dante” can perform; and so the magician from Denmark has been “Dante” ever since, and Ims redoubled his triumphs and successes all over the world by virtue of the swiftness of his work, the number and quality of his illusions, and the magnificent splendour, of his stage presentations. The Wellington season of “Dante’s” latest, revue, of fifty mysteries, entitle?] “Sin-Sala-Bin," will open . at the Grand Opera House next Thursday. The star is supported by an international company. -
