Possibilities of British Development COMMITTEE OF EXPERTS Official Wireless. Rugby, July 29. The Coal Establishment Council stales that a new market for coal as large and valuable as that represented by the entire British gas industry is in prospect as a result of the Government's encouragement ' of home produced petrol. The possibilities of this development were also considered yesterday by the South Wales Industrial Development Council, which decided to set up a committee of experts, coal owners’ and miners’ representatives, to explore the question of building plant for the production of oil from coal under the Government’s scheme for guaranteed preference.
