BOOTS FOR UNEMPLOYED

Palmerston North, June 21. A commencement was made in Palmerston North this morning with the distribution of boots to unemployed under the direction of the officers of tho Department of Labour. Between 600 and 700 applications have been received, most of the appiicants having already worked the extra day necessary to obtain the boots.
