AMERICAN FLOUR
Shipment for Dunedin TO RAISE BREAD QUALITY Dominion Special Service. Dunedin, June 12. Included In a cargo landed here from the City of Tokio was 103 tons of flour from the United States consigned to several large bakery firms in the city. It is stated by the bakers concerned that the flour is to be used for the purpose of mixing with New Zealand flour in order to raise the quality of the bread, as New Zealand wheat is rather toq soft and dark to produce flour of the highest grade. The price of flour landed at Dunedin bakehouses is £l6/6/-, and it is understood that the duty payable on it is about £2 a ton.
