“PROSPERITY STUDIOS”

Cinema Masquerade Ball The Town Hall on June 22 will be transformed into the "Prosperity Studios,” for the Cinema Jlasquerade Ball. Real movie sound cameras will operate and woe betide any little local Janet Gaynor or any burly Tom Mix caught napping 1 , , The filming of the ball will in itself be a feature and the variety of “Stars” will make the patrons feel the atmosphere of Elstree and Hollywood. Various “sets” will be featured and even Jlax Sennett and Bill Hart may reappear to gaze on the progress of film production. Make up and characterisation as well as costumes will be a consideration in the prize awards, and for this purpose the public are advised to use the advice arranged and to view the throe hundred character photos of stars. These arc displayed in a room at the Majestic, which is open between 1 and 2 or 7 and 8 p.m. daily, week-ends excepted. Aspirants for prizes, of which there are many, should not feel that elaborate dresses are necessary. The characterisation of many roles is equally effective in simple parts such as Janet Gaynor in “Delicious” or in “Adorable,” as distinct from her bridal robes of “First Year.”
