Election of Officers Annual meetings of church parishioners were held during the week. The following reports summarise the year s work:— St. Mary's, Karori. The animat meeting of parishioners of St. Mary's Church, Karori, was held on Wednesday, the Rev. F. M. Kempthoriie presiding over an attendance of about dU. Reports were presented by the vicar and by the churchwardens. it was announced that Mr. J. W. Henderson, who had tilled oilice as vicar's churchwarden for many years, had again been reappointed. The following ofiice-bearers were elected :—People’s elmrehwarden, Mr. W. I’’. Newcombe; vestry, Messrs. W. A. Andrews, M. Burnett, R. 11. 0. Caldwell, S. T. Dibble, G. A. Hart, 11. A. Keeling, J. F. Mills, 0. S. Plank, R. M. Sunley, F. N. Thompson; auditor, Mr. C. W. Tremewan. St. Cuthbert’s. The annual general meeting of the parishioners of St. Cuthbert’s Church, Berhampore, was held on Wednesday evening, the vicar, the Rev. N. S. Barnett, presiding. The vicar’s report showed that the church work was being well maintained. The ladies’ guild had done exceptionally fine work, notably through fortnightly sales of new and good secondhand garments, especially for children. The Sunday school teachers had carried on their work. The churchwardens’ report stat"d that the district, was experiencing the greatest dilliculty in trying to maintain its identity as an independent cure. Since November the churchwardens had been in communication with St. Jude's Church, Lyall Bay, in an endeavour to arrange a temporary amalgamation of the two districts. The report expressed the thanks of the vestry to the vicar, ehoirmis'ress. organist, choir, ladies guild, leaders of various organisations, and all other workers for the work done. The following officers were elected: — Vicar’s churchwarden. Mr. W. M. Haycroft; people's churchwarden. Mr. C. W. B. Edwards; vestry, Mesdames Charles and F. Robertson. Messrs. T. W. Bohlson, R. 8011. W. Brown. 11. E. Caldwell. A. J. Frond. J. Hill, W. Husband, and D. Rust; auditor, Mr. Wm. Charles; Girl Guide company committee. Mesdames Charles. Gell. Hill, and Ward. Mr. R. 801 l : Boy Scout troop committee. Mosdames G. Bryant. Caldicutt. Firliy. Hill. Relict, and E. J. Ward, Messrs. G. Bryant, Caldicutt, J. Hill, and E. J. Ward.
