Series of Entertainments SPORTS AND CARNIVALS Numerous Easter attractions have been arranged in the Wellington district, and holiday-makers have a wide selection from which to make a wide The following are the main fixtures for sports and other entertainments to be held to-day and on Easter Monday:— To-day: Eastbourne carnival; gala at Titahi Bay; racing at Tauherenikau, Eeilding, and Hastings; commencement of Wellington provincial golf championship at Heretaunga and Shandon and Manor Bark tournaments; Eastern Sub urbs bowls tournament and Hutt Valley tournament; tennis tournament at Miramar; friendly Rugby Gaines at Athletic Park/Pe tone, and Eastbourne. Soccer match at the Basin Reserve between North and South Islands; Sea Scouts’ regatta; lifeboat contest for Mercantile Marine Cup; cricket match tween a Hastings senior eleven and a Wellington junior team in Wellington; Easter Show at John Street; hockey practice matches. Easter Monday: Eastbourne carnival; 5 Titahi Bay carnival; Rangatira excursion to Picton; racing at Tauherenikau. Eeilding, and Waipukurau; golf at Heretaunga (Wellington provincial tournament), and tournaments at Shandon and Manor Park; Eastern Suburbs and Hutt Valley bowls tournaments; tennis tournament at Miramar; Soccer match between Auckland and Wellington at Basin Reserve; Paremata yachting regatta; cricket match between a Hastings senior eleven and a Wellington junior team; Easter Show at John ' Street: carnival at Maidstone Park.
