BROKEN TAIL-SHAFT
Distressed Ship in Storm (Received April 14, 6.30 p.m.). New York, April 13. The freighter Malang, with 32 men aboard, was reported on Thursday in distress with a broken tail-shaft off Cape Cod. A coastguard cutter was striving desperately against high winds and a rough sea to get a line aboard.
