Run Over by Heavy Lorry FATALITY AT GREY LYNN By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, April 12. A fatal accident occurred in Grey Lynn this afternoon when an eight-year-old girl, Nancy Joy Cross, was run over by a heavy motor-lorry. The girl,’ who resided with her mother, Mrs. H. Cross,-was crossing the road in the vicinity of her home when the accident happened. She ran in front of the lorry, which was proceeding along the road at a normal speed, and, although the driver, Robert Meels, Immediately applied the brakes, he was unable to bring the vehicle to a standstill before it reached the child, who was knocked down. Death was instantaneous.
