EASTER RECITALS

War Memorial Carillon

Recitals on the war memorial carillon will be given by Miss Gladys Watkins on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday. Each recital will begin at 8.30 p.m. The programmes are as follow: —

Easter Sunday :llalf-hour chime; peal on eight hells; hymn. “Jesus Christ is Risen To-day”: “Melody in F” (Rubenstein) ; “Loch Lomond”; “Easter Prelude” (G. Watkins) : hymn, “Jesus Lives”; “Sweet Genevieve”; “Nocturne in E Flat” (Chopin) ; hymn, “How Thank We All Our Lord”; a peal on ten bells; National Anthem. Easter Monday: Half-hour chime; “The Bells of St. Mary” (Adams) ; “Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep” (Knight); “My Old Kentucky Home”; “All Thro’ the Night” ; “Berceuse de la Poupee” (Duyssens) : “Caller Herrin’”; “The Harmonious Blacksmith” (Handel) ; “Humoreske” (Dvorak) ; “The Death of Nelson” (Braham) ; a peal on ten bells; National Anthem.
