RELIEF COLLECTION

Broken Christchurch Boxes

MYSTERIOUS FEATURES By Telegraph'— Press Association. . Christchurch, April 4. The mystery of the finding of broken relief collection boxes has been heightened by the fact, now disclosed, that forty-two boxes were re-issued in the afternoon of the street collection without an official check, and that the collectors in these cases are unknown. However, to offset that, forty-four inpayments were made by the unknown collectors. This was probably due to the rush late in the day. Another broken collection box was found in Tuam Street yesterday.
