Mrs. D. S. Patrick, Lower Hutt, returned yesterday from a holiday spent in Auckland.
Miss Doris Petrie, Wellington, is visiting Auckland, and is the guest of Mrs. V. A. Huddlesten, Epsom. Dr. Ada Paterson motored back on Saturday from New Plymouth, where she was the guest of Mrs. Gordon Fraser.
Miss Gypsy Mathieson will leave for Auckland on Thursday, accompanied by Mrs. J. B. McEwan, Fitzherbert .terrace, with whom she has been staying. Miss Mary Mac Lean, who was with Mrs W. S. Wheeler, Easdale Street, motored back to Palmerston North on Sunday.

Miss Sybil Carncross, who has been the guest of Mrs. Alex. Lawson, the Terrace, will return to Eltham this morning.
Mrs. Robin Darroch gave a very pleasant crystal and china tea last week at . her home for Miss Georgina Hurn, who is to be married at Easter. Mrs S. Burnside and Miss M. Thompson have arrived in Christchurch from Wellington. Mrs. Burnside is staying with her mother, Mrs. E. M. Edmonds.
Miss Alice Dawson, who is staying with Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Rossiter, Wellington, will return to Christchurch this week.
Misses A. and E. Kennedy arrived recently from England and are with their sister, Miss S. Kennedy, Rimu Road, Kelburn. Miss Neave, Johannesburg, who was the guest of Mrs. Henry Hall, Hill Street, has gone to Invercargill to stay with Mrs. F. O’Bierne.
Miss Shelagh Gumbleton, of Christchurch, came to Wellington to meet her aunt, Dr. Jessie Maddlson, who arrived by the Maunganui.

The Right Hon. G. W. Forbes and Mrs. Forbes and their daughters, the Misses Bertha and Jessie Forbes, have returned from Christchurch. Mrs. W. A. Grummitt, Marton, who has been visiting her mother in Ashburton, and her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Thomas, in Christchurch, is now staying with her sister, Mrs. Scott, in Wellington. _ Guests staying at the Midland Hotel include: Miss Janet Innes, Brisbane; Mrs. T. R. Dawe, India; Mrs. and Miss K. B. Godber, England; Mrs. W. Massy Greene, Sydney; Mrs. R. L. Buchanan, Scotland; Miss C. Humphries, Tongaroa. . , Mrs. F. W. Freeman, of Christchurch, her sister, Miss Althea Cookson, lady superintendent of the Wellington Public Hospital, and Mrs. Noel Nelson, Tinakorl Road, have motored through to Whangarei, where they are the guests of Mrs, J. Donaldson, Fernhill. Miss Molly Coleridge and Mr. Ernest Coleridge, Bishopscourt, will leave Wellington by the Limited express to-mor-row night for Auckland, whence they will sail by the Monowai for Sydney, en route to England. They will leave Sydney on March 29 by the Orsova. Mr. Coleridge Tflll be away about six months and Miss Coleridge longer. Miss Coleridge will visit Mr. and Mrs. Carrington. Cambridge. Mrs. Carrington was formerly Miss Cecil Macgregor, Wellington.
