5 Sitting in Wellington

1 ~ LIST OF FIXTURES The Arbitration Court sat in Weli lington for the first time this year to ' arrange fixtures for the sitting, and to c make awards on recommendations for- . warded from the Conciliation Councils. Mr. Justice Frazer presided, with him being Mr. W. Cecil Prime, employers’ representative, and Mr. A. L. Mon- . tieth, workers’ representative, The court made awards in the cases of the Wellington Timber Workers, Dominion Typographical 'Workers, and 1 Dominion printers. There are 16 compensation cases down for hearing and three applications for the imposition of penalties for alleged breaches of awards. Fixtures were made up to March 31, and the court will sit at Napier on April -7, and at Gisborne on April 11. [ Fixtures. ■ The following is the list of fixtures:— March 20. —10 a.m.: McCallum v. Jamieson (compensation) ; 2.15 p.m.: Electric i Workers’ Union v. Wellington Fire Board. March 21.—10 a.m.: Clark v. New Zealand Shipping Co. (compensation); 2.15 p.m.; Anderson v. Shaw, Savill and Albion , Co. (compensation).-' March 22.—10 a.m.: Tailors award (Cathie); ,2.15 p.m.: Carpenters’ UnionWellington Harbour Board; Furniture Trade Apprentices. March 23.—10 a.m.: Binder v, New Zealand Shipping Co., Ltd. (compensation) ; 2.15 p.m.: Female printers’ dispute. March 24. —10 a.m.: Harris v. Union Steam Ship Co. (compensation) ; 2.15 p.m.; Haimes v. G. S. Scales (compensation). March 27. —10 a.m.. Bird v. U.S.S. Co. (compensation); 2.15 p.m.: Public Trustee v. Wellington City Corporation (compensation).
