Naval Officers v. Reservists

A friendly tennis match was played while H.M.S. Diomede was in port between teams representing the Navy and the Wellington Division of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. The match took place at Harptree, Lower Hutt, the home of Captain Mrs. Wybrants Olphert, and resulted in a win for the Navy. Cap- ■ fain Olphert is the commanding officer ot the R.N.V.R. The players were Paymas-ter-Commander Fenton, Lieutenant-Com-manders Wallace and Buckley, Eieutenants Carlisle, Couorage, and Winch, rhe local team included Captain Olphert, Lieutenant-Commander Wilson,. Surgeon-Lieutenant-Paymaster Corkhill, and Lieutenant Buck. Lieutenant Daysh, Sub-Lieutenant Hicks, and Sub-Lieuteu-ant Harding. /
