HUTT COUNTY RATES

10 Per Cent. Penalty Imposed The Hutt County Council, at its meting yesterday afternoon, decided to impose a penalty of 10 per cent, on rates unpaid on ami after March 28, 1933. The chairman. Mr. D. 11. Hoggard, said that the rates were coming in fairly well. The rates struck for the year amounted to £20,744. Up to February 8. £13.290 had been collected, leaving £7453 outstanding, while approximately a further £5OO had come in during the past week.
